Overview
This category acknowledges the hard work and dedication of sports administrators from across the WA sport industry.
The recipient’s contribution will have provided benefit to, or had a positive impact upon, their individual sport as well as a contribution to the wider sporting industry, and their standards of excellence will have distinguished them from peers.
Eligibility
- Be employed (in a paid position) at a State Sporting Association, National Sporting Organisation (WA-based), Associations, Leagues or in a Professional Sporting Team
- Nominated by a representative of a SportWest Member Organisation
- Can not be self-nominated
Criteria
- Be employed (in a paid position) at a State Sporting Association, National Sporting Organisation (WA-based), Associations, Leagues or in a Professional Sporting Team.
- Outstanding achievement in the development and delivery of projects/initiatives to enable more West Australians to enjoy the benefits of sport.
- The impact of their contribution/initiative to the individual sport.
- The extent to which the individual has delivered beyond expectations.
- The contribution by the individual beyond their role for the benefit of the broader sport and recreation industry in Western Australia. This may include contributions through various reference groups and advisory panels convened by SportWest, DLGSC or other entities on behalf of the industry and should be clearly articulated with the nomination.
