Head Coach Cycling (Endurance)

The Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS) is the peak high-performance sporting organisation in Western Australia. WAIS is proudly supported by the State Government and is a member of the National Institute Network who collectively support National and State Sporting Organisations to deliver the National High Performance Sport Strategy.

The Head Coach Cycling (Endurance) will lead a redesigned WAIS program aligned with AusCycling’s national strategy, providing opportunities for talented cyclists across all disciplines to be integrated into a world-leading development environment.

The Head Coach will be responsible for the developing endurance cyclists through exposure to a mix of track cycling, road cycling and mountain biking, facilitating Individual Athlete Scholarships and a camps-based approach for categorised athletes in acceleration and action disciplines (track sprints, BMX riders), and leading the interdisciplinary collaboration of the WAIS Cycling Program performance enhancement team to develop cyclists with the attributes to become successful international level riders.

The Head Coach Cycling will support WA pathway initiatives including coach mentoring and engagement, talent identification / talent transfer initiatives, and Paralympic athlete integration.
